Wintering Your Horse

Horse left on their own seek warm shelter and herd together, forage food and seek out water to quench their thirst. Within the confines of riders, horses become dependant upon them for these basic necessities. Winter is the season for equine. Shorter days, sunny afternoons, chilly evenings motivate the horses to live inside the barn more than outside on the fields. Thus it becomes very important to inspect and make the required changes in the horse’s environment. Winter care is very important, as horses need special attention during this time of the year. As per equestrian news most of the horses meet untimely death during the harsh and rough weather of winter. Thus most of the sellers plan to sell their horses in spring when the horses are in best shape. Thus we would usually find horses for sale or ponies for sale during the season following winters.
