WHAT IS FILM PRODUCTION?
Film production involves the making of a film from an initial idea or story through script writing, shooting, video production, directing and distribution. It involves a large group of people who work under a film production company. Film production can take anywhere from a few months to several years to complete depending on the storyline, plot, availability of human and/or material resources. Filmmaking employs the use of a wide variety of technologies and techniques to complete a film. Various economic, social and political ideas drive the filmmaking industry which is present in different cultures and countries of the world. Film production basically occurs in stages which include; the development stage, the pre-production stage, the production stage, the post-production stage and the sales and distribution stage. Each stage is very important to the success of any film.
